never saw a fighter's face become such a mess almost instanteously -- Zaneck was definitely in the fight at that point -- would have been interesting to see how it would have gone over the next few rounds -- thought Berto was starting to look a little gassed and was being more affected by Zaveck's punches in the last round -- Berto will never be an elite fighter unless he develops some kind of defense -- he simply takes too many punches and is too uncontrolled on offense

those cut were definitely caused by head butts. was not impressed by berto. he looked exactly the same as he did against ortiz

I thought Berto looked okay. The whole fight Jones and Kellerman kept talking about Berto having a "walk them down" kind of style, and what not. Berto just isn't that great at doing that. Mayweather has walked down a lot of recent opponents, Mosley, Marquez, even Hatton to an extent. Berto just doesn't look to solid with that style. He should move more, and try to avoid punishment. I thought rounds 1-3 were fairly even, with Zaveck landing as much as Berto, maybe more, but Berto hit him with the harder punches in my opinion. Round 4 was definitely Zaveck, as Berto looked like he was slowing a bit. The first half of the 5th was Berto, landing effective body punches and left hooks on Zaveck, while the second half of the 5th appeared to go to Zaveck. However, Berto ended the round on a good note. I had the fight 58-57 in favor of Berto at the stoppage time. I don't think it was headbutts that caused the cuts. It looked like Berto cut him in the 5th with a left hook, and the other eye was starting to cut as well. Zaveck is a solid fighter, and Berto is nowhere near Mayweather or Pacquiao. Although, I think he could beat Ortiz in a rematch. All in all, Berto landed solid hard punches, which proved to be the difference, but you could tell that Zaveck landing more punches on Berto were taking a toll. Berto looked like he was slowing down in the 4th and 5th.It would have been interesting if Zaveck wasn't cut.

I think Zaveck should fight the winner of the Selcuk Aydin-Jo Jo Dan rematch. Also, I think Kell Brook should get a title shot against Senchenko, which he sould easily win. Than, Khan should fight Brook once he goes up to 147, but I don't see Khan fight Brook.

So, Brook should make his first title defense against the winner of Aydin/Dan-Zaveck, and Khan should fight Berto for the IBF Title. That's what I would like to see in the immediate future.

Berto came out looking for a K.O. I think the fight could've ended up like the Ortiz fight if Zaveck didn't suffer that cut.
