according to boxrec, miranda is schedualed to face kelly pavlik, 27-0-0, 24 ko's, in january. i know boxrecs rating systems are flawed, but they have him at 17. nevertheless, he seems like a solid competitor and should be a good fight

The WBO is wanting this fight for a middleweight eliminator, but there have been no contracts signed. Obviuosly if Miranda has a chance to fight Taylor he will take that option vs fighting Pavlik. Either way I expect great things from Miranda. He has this natural talent unlike I've seen in sometime, and already carries himself like a champ. I seen him fight this weekend. Powerful guy but a bit sloppy. I predict he will get a known middleweight belt but, he will not be a reigning champ unless he adjust his defense.

Miranda looks very raw, but he's impressive. He has a huge upside, in that he has so much potential for growth. I think Amir Khan is also a future star in the division.
