Amir Khan talks 140 pound weight class and possibly facing Mayweather

    By Tommy Allan

Amir Khan is ready to test himself against one of the two best fighters in the world in Floyd Mayweather. Khan has long sought out a fight with the former pound for pound king and unbeaten five weight champion and has stated that a fight between the two could see Wembley Stadium sold out.

“I offered to fight against Timothy Bradley and he just didn’t take the fight. Maidana we’ve beaten, Zab Judah is in the top ten who we’ve beaten, Kotelnik who is probably number eleven so you know we’ve beaten most of the top 140lb fighters. I’m here to fight everyone and anyone, it’s just a shame Bradley doesn’t want to take the fight on and that’s the reason world boxing moved me to number one and him to number two.

Id love Mayweather over here within the next twelve months. It’s a timing game and I think that would be the best time to catch him, and to bring that here to Wembley Stadium and sell it out would be massive.”

Khan is scheduled to fight again near the end of the year with the winner of Erik Morales and Lucas Matthysse being the likely opponent. This is to be Khan’s last fight in the 140lb division before he moves up to 147lbs early next year.

Please Princess Khan stop talking about Mayweather, ffs!

The kid is madly in love with Floyd if you ask me, he can't do a single interview or go 5 minutes without mentioning Floyds name.

Khan, seriously, shut up & just pray by some miracle Morales gets past Matthysse for now because Lucas is a beast & he is coming for you.

I want to see just how well you do with a guy that IMO is faster & a more polished version of Maidana.
