So your assuming I havn't watched that fight after I post a thread like this. I understand that you just want to feel smart and contribute to the conversation, but maybe think a little more before you speak.

I was watching the haye V klitchko fight with my cousin and his frends. They called it a boring fight. I quite liked it. Especially how towards the end haye started utilizing a high guard and how wlad started to take away and block hayes overhand right.

My cousins and couldnt pick that up. As the casual boxing fan cant. They look for knock outs , big punches and bloodshed.

I watched the Floyd VS spadafora sparring for the first time the other day. I was impressed from get go. From round begginning of round 1 floyd shows a perfect stance and movement.

The first right hand he threw was magic. Absolute magic. He set it up beautifully. He placed his head into the centre line / direct angle of spadaforas straight left down the pipe for a split second until he sensed hesitation, then let he let the right hand go like a rocket!

His skills and knowledge of the game is ridiculous. His mental game is ridiculous. His mental strength is ridiculous.

Example: hes just been punched in the balls and hit in the back of the head by zab judah. his uncle and his team are involved in a huge scuffle with zab judahs dad and his team inside the ring!

From all that drama and chaos floyd smiles and embraces zab judah and continues to fight in upmost sportsmanship fashion. Say what you want but that kind of composure and mental strength is second to NONE and its what gives floyd a huge advantage over his opponents.

Rocked by Mosley? you betcha. He came out the 2nd round and put a beating on Shane. Instantaneously switched. Mental strength brother, its something he has lots of and its one of the most important aspects of boxing.

I acknowledge that Mayweather is one of the best, but never was he one of my favorite fighters, and never did he bring the vigor of enthusiasm that boxing brings to my heart.
Maybe you should watch the fight versus Chavez, Corley, NDOU or Hatton. Those were pretty good fights that were exciting too me b ecause mayweather opened up his offense and took chances. Never the less getting hit isnt one of his best attributes and for any fighter that likes it there is a life after boxing.

I personally love watching him box. I find his style beautiful to see.

What annoys me about him is his inactivity and not seeing some of the most interesting fights materialize.

LarryX, you're not even worth replying to. i_am_a_champ, that was a great post, and I agree with you 100 percent. Let me clarify something, its not that I don't enjoy Mayweather's superior talents as you have described, but there is just a certain lack of intensity that he doesn't produce.

I do enjoy and respect the fundementals of boxing, but Mayweather has never expedited the raw emotion that has made me love the sport

Fighters can be dominant and exciting, like the guy in my avatar. You just don't like Floyd's style, no biggie.

Yes, Mayweather's early days got me very excited. He was one of my top prospects. But he only went downhill from there. Mayweather is a great fighter, but never be one of my favorites.

I understand what you're saying man. You're not knocking Mayweather's talents. You're just looking at it from a "climax" perspective. I can understand that.

Granted the Marquez (besides the 2nd round KD) and Baldomir fights didn't have the drama, followed by climax during their fight. I see where you can be coming from. I'm not not even being sarcastic, seriously.
