were all exciting to watch. To me a fight does not have to be back and forth to be exciting you can see scintillating performances and get, at least for me, the same satisfaction.

it's also sad and funny to see a guy like JMM get more recognition now that he has slowed and has to resort more and more to trading than when he was dominating opponents with simple skill

you and i and others in this forum could really enjoy the exchanges of opinions/ideas or info relative to boxing if we could tone down if not totally eliminate negative comments; even as to the level of boxing knowledge or expertise of our co-posters here...

Dude throws closer to 40 to 50 punches per round and hasn't arguably ran from any fighter since the baldomir fight! And if he was as BORING as his haters say he is they wouldn't continue watch him. They would ignore his fights all together.

Yes, I acknowledge Mayweather's superior technique and boxing ability, but there has not been one fight in his career where I thought, "Wow, this is one of my favorite fighters."

There have been so many boxing matches that have made me love the sport, the excitement, the passion, the drama, that is in the ring. Even though Mayweather may have a superior boxing ability than others, his performances have lacked the soul that boxing brought to my heart.

Ok, let me get a little psychological here. Maybe I'm biased because I'm not black, or maybe blacks are biased because Mayweather is black, or maybe there is another variable involved, the fact of the matter is CORRELATION IS NOT CAUSATION.

The point is, I love boxing. And even though Mayweather is as gifted as he is, he just doesn't bring the enthusiasm, the spark that made me love this sport. Don't get me wrong, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT HE IS ONE OF THE BEST, and I even give him the edge over Pacquiao (slightly), but he is not one of my favorite fighters.
