Yes, Mendoza was a late substitute, and Olajide was reckoned as being very good at that time. After the fight I remember Olajide saying that well, he didn't know anything about him before the fight but he was astonished when he saw him across the ring, how big he was. I got the impression that if he'd known this he wouldn't have accepted him as an opponent,

Olajide had a lethal left hook, like a razor, the way he threw it, no fuss no bother, it was just there I always liked his fights.
