it's cool that ortiz reconnected with her, but the way he talks is like he doesn't really want her to be an integral part of his life now. but she has other plans. . . Ortiz is doing the right thing, and I hope he is smart enough not to let her leech.

QUESTION - Why doesn't Ortiz give credit, or talk about his foster parents? Obviously they are not blood, but I think he should be somewhat grateful for them for supporting him financially, and help guiding him. They looked like two sweet people from the maidana/ortiz promo. imagine taking in strange kids you don't know and caring and supporting them. as we all know - life ain't free. . . .

A-lot of Foster parents do it for the money.The agency pays them to raise the kids in some situations.

Win or lose against Floyd, Ortiz has already showed that he is the better man. Floyd should take some notes from this guy. His mom left him at such a young age and he still forgave her.She left him in a much worst condition than Floyd Sr left Lil Floyd. At least Floyd Sr taught his son how to fight and make a career out of boxing. Ortiz's mom left him and his brother with a bum father with nothing. Floyd Jr should be thankful his dad pointed him in the direction that has made him millions of dollars. I know it hurt him when his dad got locked up, but he should have found it in his heart to forgive him. That shows you a man's character. And until Floyd shows his dad the proper respect, he will never be the man that Ortiz is.

Floyd did forgive did father.He may not have said in words but he said it through his actions by reuniting with his father and having a father and son relationship.Yeah they just recently had a falling out which may be fake but it does`nt change the fact that Floyd reunited with him years ago.

This woman is a scum, she ran away from her problems and started a new family like its nothing, and its funny that she manages to reconnect with her "son" just as he begins making real money. She could have aborted him and his brother instead. She made the decision to give birth to them, and now they've grown into two successful young men.

His heart will decide if he wishes to share part of his wealth with his mother and extended family if he so desires.

Having been abandoned, and having had to struggle and suffer has only made them stronger. That's akin to putting a lump of coal through extreme pressure and fire and creating a sparkling diamond.

Posters on this thread are saying she's looking for money, but the source didn't say that she got in contact with him, it may have been the other way around?

The other thing is her 'husband' could have been abusing her or in fear for her life, it often takes something bad for a mother to leave her kids.

I'm not saying this to come out in her defence, but it's important not to jump to conclusions about their private lives, perhaps the ensuing episodes of 24/7 will reveal more.
