There is the one obvious possible downside for Floyd, Ortiz could take his "0". If Floyd wins, he beat a younger, stronger fighter, and that would be awesome. If Floyd loses, he lost to a younger stronger fighter, and you can take nothing away from him for taking the challenge. Incedentally, I am critical of Floyd, in the case of him choosing to fight Ortiz, my hat is off to Floyd. I hope we see a hell of a fight.

You may be able to admire that he chose a younger fighter like ortiz, but there is still something to take away from mayweather, all his trash talk about him being the greatest(he claims to be even now, so it's not valid to say it doesn't count because of his age) with be proven wrong, his ego would take a serious hit.
