Everyone thinks Mayweather isn't as good as people think until they step into the ring. Hatton didn't think Floyd was as good as he is on the inside. Everyone's gameplan is to try to emulate Castillo vs Mayweather I, a fight that happened 9 years ago, it's funny.

Ortiz is in a position to say it because he wants to sell the fight, but everyone else has no excuse questioning Floyd's skills.

I dont think that Ortiz's plan is to fight the same fight of Castillo v Mayweather one, or was it any of Floyd's recent opponents game plan. I do however agree that everyone he has fought has brought up that fight, still think that Ortiz isn't saying that's his gameplan.

I do agree though that everyone's gotten something different than what they thought Floyd was when they were in training.

"A Careful Fighter": A Perfect Analogy! Ortiz On Track!

Ortiz and Company are absolutely on track with sorting out Mayweather, giving him no respect, recognizing him as a trash talking, hand picking, careful fighter. Ortiz will have his career moment and knock out Floyd Mayweather!

Floyd didn't fight Hatton on the inside... He pot shotted and counter punched from the outside and avoided inside fighting by tying up whenever Hatton got too close. And Hatton got to the inside often (which is why the fight was ugly), but Mayweather was bigger, stronger, and better at tying up than Hatton was at untying himself.

Mayweather is the one of, if not, the best outside fighter there is today and it's not where Ortiz is at his best, so why not take it there?

Yeah but Hatton's plan was to fight him on the inside and even then Mayweather was better than he expected. Just look at what Hatton said at the post fight interview. My point is that when people think Mayweather is not so good at something they end up being wrong.

I think Ortiz believes he can beat Floyd on the outside.

I'm pretty sure Victor will catch Floyd in this fight in the same way that Mosely did. And when that happens it will be "Floyd's first" ever. He won't remember his father's name that he hates so much. Mark my words. September 17th, boxing will have a new hero.
