He's exciting, but he's not p4p material as of now. He's got too many holes in his game. But he can get better so perhaps in a few more years he can be a top pedigree fighter.
Do You Think Brandon Rios Will Eventually Crack The P4P List?

Best lightweights for me are JMM, Guerrero and Jorge Linares. They all beat Brandon imo.Comment

Really not sure. I love the way the guy fights and he definitely has the tools and the talent, so If we are just talking about his attitude in the gym and the ring then yes, definitely COULD do it. The biggest question mark is how he handles himself and his life outside the ring. He seems like a bit of a timebomb with the clock missing.
I hope he matures as a man and is strong enough to pull away from the people that could bring him down or get him into bad situations. If he can do that then he COULD be a great fighter in the future.Comment

I think there is a possibility that he may break into the top 10 at some point but I think it’s only a matter of time before he gets thoroughly outboxed and or stopped. His style is not made for longevity kind of reminds me of Vargas.Comment

I guess it shows you the ****eful state of boxing today. I always find it funny those people that say boxers today are better than the golden era fighters. With 1/10th of the gyms today, and the same dearth of fighters, it means the competition is thinned out and any old guy becomes a good fighter. It makes it ten times worse today because there are fifty nine different sanctioning bodies and everyone avoids everyone else for as long as possible. *sigh*
How I long for the good old days of boxing.Comment
