Player3, I think you should delete your post as to not give them any reason to get rid of the thread. Just a suggestion my man.

Best thread ive ever looked into on BS.

Just an honest discussion about the two brothers where, so far, their has been no blind hate and no blind worshipping.

This thread has been a true breath of fresh air and has helped me look at Wladimir K (and possibly Vitali) a lot more as far as skills and flaws are concerned.

Here's hoping the mods dont delete because this is a very interesting thread.

nOTice how the OP conveniently left when it was time to discuss how to beat Vitali Klitschko...look for that post to come out early next year when he's had the proper time to conjure up something.

          Now for Vitali Klitschko.

Vitali, much like his younger sibling, stays in perpetual shape. For someone his age and size, it only possible to remain in great form by dieting properly and maintaining a stringent exercise regiment. At his age, this requires discipline to the umpteenth degree and it is evident in his fights.

Wladimir Klitschko is a giant and his brother, Vitali, is no different. Vitali has an excellent height and reach advantage on most his opponents, and, to his credit, he utilizes his physical gifts nearly flawlessly. Though both he and his brother are tall, athletic, and have a long range, the comparisons between them in terms of fighting are hardly the same.

Vitali is much more complete than his younger brother. What Wladimir does well, as I mentioned earlier, is maintain distance to keep his opponents at bay with his jab and always within range of his right hand. Vitali does this as well, but better. Unlike his younger brother, Vitali throws much more frequently and is oftentimes more aggressive as well.

The great thing about Vitali and what makes him especially difficult to beat is that he can fight off of the back foot. With his opponents coming forward, Vitali will double, triple, or sometimes even quadruple his jab. And he will also do the very same when he is the aggressor. For someone with fast hands, fast feet, as well as long arms, doubling and tripling the jab will almost always keep an opponent at the perfect range-just at the end of the fist.

What he also does exceptionally well is turn his opponent. Vitali knows how to move OFF of a straight line. So, unlike his brother, when an opponent rushes him, he doesn't always go straight back or even slightly off of the line, but he'll circle them and suddenly be outside of their offense, and again, he will have them at the end of his jab and at the right range for a right hand. He is very mobile and this is only accentuated by his athleticism.

Yet another thing he will do is plant his weight on his back foot, leaning slightly backwards. He'll do this normally when he has found the right range and is waiting to counter. For an opponent coming forward and throwing punches, he only has to lean slightly out of the way, (due to his height and reach, an opponent with shorter arms can have great difficulty reaching his head) and then counter with a right hand. Vitali also fights well at mid range. He can throw an odd hook/jab/uppercut from an off angle as he steps to the side. This tends to bewilder his opponents who then have to reset and again are at the end of his jab.

          But his flaws

Vitali Klitschko cannot fight on the inside. Much like his brother, when things go beyond long range, and in his case, past mid-range, he immediately tries to wrap his opponent up. However, with a fighter skilled at in-fighting and who fights off of angles, this is a vital flaw in Vitali's game. Short hooks and uppercuts to the body and head would work beautifully against him. If another fighter, with fast feet and hands, were to bury their head in his chest and dig, he could be hurt and hurt badly.

Vitali Klitschko drops his hands. Now, to some, this may seem as if it is not such a bad thing. He really only drops his hands once he has figured out the right range and can time your shots. But that is typically for the lesser-skilled opponent. Even though he was out boxing Lennox Lewis in many respects, what opened the cut on Vitali's eye was a right hand. A well placed one. And if you notice, Lewis threw a jab and Vitali tried to circle him to escape another jab and re-establish distance. But Lewis cut him off at an angle (which is exactly what you are supposed to do against an opponent that fights off of a circle) and immediately fired that right hand. That spelled doom for Vitali, whose hands were already low to begin with. Lennox begins to catch him with more right hands as a result, because Vitali often throws the jab and instead of returning it to its proper place, near his face to protect his chin, he drops it (a fatal error, but difficult to exploit in his case) back down to his waist. And that leads me to my last and final point.

Vitali Klitschko lacks head movement. He has great feet, great hand speed and even some decent upper body movement. But what makes my earlier point pertinent, is that he doesn't have good enough head movement to get away with dropping hands to his waist. What he does have is a great outside and mid-range game. Look at a prime Roy Jones Jr. for example. He loved to drop his hands and ignore fundamentals, but, unlike Vitali, his head and upper body movement were phenomenal. Vitali's are not. Roy Jones Jr. paid the price, but Vitali Klitschko, however, may never do so. The kind of opponent necessary to exploit these flaws lived in another era and may well live again, but only when Vitali is well past it.

You're a racist self hating American who hates that Wlad and Vitali are the two greatest heavyweights ever and would brutally knockout every other heavyweight ever.

              Good thread.

at the butthurt Americans. I know its bad that your only hope lies in Deontay Wilder.

if the K brothers were a diffirent shade or even American you guys would be singing a different tune.

Face it, they are the smartest HW's in the game and history (PhD, Avid Chess Players) and they are masterfull performers who use their brains in a fight and outside of it. Sure they have some weaknesses but who doesnt? You are just grasping at straws.

Prime Vitali beats ANY Hw in history
Known to throw 1000 punches in a fight
                Never been down
                Highest KO %
                Defeated most undefeated fighters
Lost less than 10 rounds in his career
Never been defeated legitly, winning every round against Byrd when his shoulder went and was up against a tiring Lewis when the CROOKED USA doctor stopped the fight and robbed Vitali of a win against Lewis, same Lewis who ducked and weaved Vitali for 12 months after the fight before retiring because they were gonna strip his belt if he didnt have a rematch (Lewis wanted to fight someone else and when he was forced to fight Vitali he ducked him and retired)

                ---
                Wlad:
                Most True HW rounds fought
his technical skills offset his few weaknesses.
Has a very good chance to beat any HW in history (would smoke all the CW "HW's" from the "Golden Era" where the Americans dominated and thats why the Americans still clinging on to the past with their 190lb HW's since thats all you have to remember)
                .

I guess too bad the Klitschko's werent born in the ****** and spent half their life in jail while being broke and owing the IRS money while being racist and acting like attention wh0res in the media? That wouldve made them #1 in America

Ask Lewis why it took him 13 months to retire? Ask him why he immediatly tried to sign a diffirent fight with someone else and when told he had to fight Vitali or be stripped he Retired like a coward? with his last fight memory of him being BOOD' when the Corrupt American doctor stopped the fight despite Vitali kicking Lewises ass and being ahead on the scorecards.
