Can't knock the kid for being confident. That's good. It'll make for an interesting fight since he's going into the fight with the mindset that he has no respect for Floyd.

I think so too. Last think Ortiz wants is a repeat of the Maidana aftermath. Like Ortiz's brother said....."That Maidana fight was the best thing that ever happened to him" Ortiz is going to come into this fight to prove that the Berto win wasnt just a fluke.

Hey, you never know. There have been worst upsets. If Mayorga can beat Forrest 2x, Ortiz has a chance. I just hope its entertaining.

Ortiz is reminding me a lot of Antonio Tarver prior to the first Roy Jones bout with his trash talk. Different circumstances though. Nevertheless, I think he's going to fight his fight and if Floyd has slipped some more during his layoff, it'll be his fight to win. The Floyd who showed up to fight Marquez, to me, was a little more spry than the one Mosley faced. He'll need to be as good as that version to blunt Ortiz' charge.

Yeah, it's clear he was very affected by the media trashing him over the Maidana incident. I don't think he wants to relive this ever again, especially not on such a big stage. You can see in the Berto fight when he was in deep trouble, ironically the same round he quit against Maidana, he was gonna try to somehow win or go out swinging. Ortiz beating Floyd wouldn't surprise me to be honest, a focused Ortiz against an older and rusty Floyd makes for an intriguing match up.
