Leo what is it like in Slovenia? I am very interested in other countries and I like to travel as much as possible. Im very curious about the cultures in a lot of the eastern european countries. . . Is there a good time to be had for tourists (although i am not the typical american tourist)? Will I be welcomed by the locals in some of the smaller cities as an American visitor?

I feel like there is a very good time to be had in some of the smaller, less known countries in Europe. Rather than go to every other country in europe that is well known.

yeah slovenia is a cool place to visit, you will feel at home here. most slovenians speak english very well, and guests are more than welcome. some interesting places are nearby, like the adriatic coast, venice, salzburg, caves ... not sure what exactly interests you.
i'm also seeing more and more foreigners who are studying here.
ps: zavec's birthplace and residence,the town of ptuj, used to be a resting place of the ancient roman legions. that's why zavec is sometimes promoted together with roman legionnaires.
