you are thinking about the vargas prior to tito and dlh with this new style he does not attack and is not aggresive at all even when he had castillejo hurt he did not try to finsh him ..gatti will not have to do much to keep vargas off him gatti wins by late k.o or ud .

I hate Vargas more than my mother in law, but he destroys Gatti. Too much of a size difference. Vargas would knock him out fairly easy.

Gatti is a small and mediocre welter at best. He is truly a lightweight. Vargas is a big 154.

Against a guy Gattis size, Vargas would not need to box.

you guys are crazy.... If Vargas had fought Mayweatha (don't think weight class, think skills), I bet Vargas ends up ta same as Gatti.

Vargas right now is pure garbage IMO!!!!!!!! And he look ugly wit May's style. Stop tryin to copy!

the question was not about Mayweather.

It was about Gatti..the human punching bag.

Mayweather would beat Vargas regardless of size between them. Gatti is a different idea all together.

I know some people hate the cliche..but it holds true time and time again.."styles make fights"

Gatti....human punchin bag? LOL, YAAAAA gainst ta #1 P4P undefeated, probably will stay that way till he retires, Mayweatha??? LOL! There ya go wit em "human punchin bag" theories. LOL!

on ta topic however, judging from each otha's 2 fights (gatti's gainst Wetha excluded)......Gattti has been mo impressive KOing 2 LEGIT THREATS. Vargas on ta otha hand, got his jaw broken by a 40 yr old man, went to distance wit a mediocre fighta in ma opinion shoulda been DRAW. LOL LOL!!!!! All Vargas went ta distance.

Gatti would beat Vargas skillwise (now) and judgin on recent performances.

your not making sense with the "theory" comment up there.

but as far as the topic at hand. I think Vargas is a pc of ****. I also think Gatti would be too small to handle Vargas. This is not badmouthing Gatti, becuase I love the guy. It is merely a matter of size and strength.

Even this older, more hesitant Vargas would completely dominate Gatti. Gatti is an above average fighter at 140 and is a club fighter at 147. Vargas is too big and too skilled to be troubled by Arturo.

Vargas by lopsided UD or mid-late TKO.
Gatti stands about as much a chance as Brian Viloria does.

                      Zero.
