i like Vitali and thought he was doing a fine job against Lennox, and if it had have kept going i personally feel he would have won it.....however let's be clear, that was not the best Lennox Lewis.....he came in heavier than he had for any previous fight by a wide margin and was clearly not in shape.....he was dead tired by the early rds........

******ed post
FACTS about Vitali Klitschko:
- WBC Heavyweight Champion of the world
- All Time Great and Hall Of Famer
- Has never truly lost
- There is no blueprint to beat him
- He is unbeatable
- He has dominated every opponent he has ever faced
- Has never been behind on the scorecards at the end of a fight
- Has a great chin, never been down
- 39 KOs in 42 wins, greatest heavyweight champ KO% of all time
- Only man ever to be world heavyweight champ in boxing and kickboxing
It's a shame that injuries/4 year layoff robbed him of a stronger resume. He was WBC and RING undisputed HW Champ when he retired in 2004. We never got to see his true prime. If Vitali had stayed healthy, he would've dominated the HW division from 2005-2008 and his resume would've been on par with Wladimir's great resume.
Vitali is 40 years old now. He came back after the 4 year layoff and is still dominating the HW division. He hasn't lost a single round in his comeback.
Vitali beats any HW from any era.

Now I'm going to OWN the Tyson nuthuggers.
Vitali and Tyson have 5 common opponents:
Lennox Lewis, Danny Williams, Jose Ribalta, Orlin Norris, Julius Francis
Vitali did better against every common opponent.
Tyson KO'd Francis in 2.
Vitali KO'd Francis in 2.
Tyson-Norris was a no contest.
Vitali destroyed Norris in the 1st round.
Tyson KO'd Ribalta in 10.
Vitali KO'd Ribalta in 2.
Lewis KO'd Tyson.
Vitali dominated Lewis and scared him into retirement.
Williams destroyed Tyson in 4.
Vitali annihilated Williams. It was one of the most brutal beatdowns of all time.
Either Klitschko destroys Tyson.

Vitali is a clear HOFer who can mix it with any HW of any era. That said we have clowns on here who think Sam Peter could beat Frazier, Liston and Foreman, because sports science has come "so far" not realizing boxing is one of the select sports where the advances in modern sports science isn't as prevelant as other sports. Explain to me how FMJ has been so dominant eating lollies and burgers, training using "old methods" and not even having a supplementation or diet program until recently?????????????
They also cite the size of modern heavies [why isn't Valuev the best fihgter in history??], ignoring the fact it's basically FAT and they aren't fit, ignoring the fact that a former 160 pounder (and a midget by HW standars) basically beat Peter, ignoring the fact Foreman was competitive against the top tier of HW's after a 10 year layoff and in his 40's
etc etc
The contenders of the 80's and early 90's like Pinklon Thomas, Tucker, Bruno, Ruddock would clown all 99% of the fighters Wlad and Vitali have beaten....again it's not their fault their opponents are fat and useless.
Personally i respect Wlad and Vitali, because they fight smart, are smart and are dedicated professionals to their sport. I rate Vitali as better than Wlad also. However some dumb clowns on this forum do nothing to advance the cause of these fine heavyweights with the ridiculous shizen they post.
ALSO Tyson drops Wlas within three rds. Could not think of a worse "stylistic" matchup for Wlad than Mike Tyson. HIn my estimation he would fare better againt any HW of any era than he would against Tyson.Last edited by check hook; 08-30-2011, 08:34 AM.Comment
