my bad i just watched both of their highlights and could not figure out who had faster hands. I think Russell does I do not think I have ever seen a faster combo than this.

Russell slightly faster. Almost like a slower version of Meldrick Taylor

But Gamboa has far more power...

All I know is this fight has to happen...

            Gamboa vs Lopez
            and
            Gary Russell vs Adrien Broner
            On the same card PPV....

Funny thing about that, as good as an idea that is, and as good as it would be for the sport and how much it will help the sport out, Top Rank and GBP would never do that

I voted Gamboa because he shows the speed at a higher level of competition but both are fast.

gamboa. Russel is fast but it seems like just flashy speed. Gamboa has velocity.

Russle is fast no doubt but hes also taking steam off his punches and shortening them to be faster.

Gamboa is slightly faster and consistent too. Russell is only fast 2 punches at a time.

comparable handspeed. maybe russell slight edge... but gamboa DEFINITELY more explosive and powerful...

i would rather step in the ring with russell instead of gamboa. with russell's hand issues and reluctance to FULLY commit his power, no brainer... i would HATE to get caught with anything gamboa throws.
