Brand Rios and others list that and other things to discredit Ortiz and call him a white boy. It's kind of bizarre thing to hate on someone for, but whatever. I like Brandon and Victor as fighters, I don't care what they do in their free time.

PS I am down in Brownsville every year, that is a cool ass town as is SP and Corpus Christi.

I doubt anyone here hates him because he surfs. Ortiz just has a weird personality, he's weird, but even that doesn't give me a reason to hate him. What I hate is how he denies that he ever quit against Maidana. He makes it seem as if though someone else took complete control over him that night.

He definitely quit against Maidana which like you said he kind of denies it and hates Max Kellerman for saying it when almost everyone felt he quit. He bounced back from it pretty good but his Peterson fight was iffy. At times he looked dominate in the Peterson fight but than it looked like Peterson came back to get a draw even tho some may have felt it was a win for Ortiz. I don't know that Peterson fight is weird.
