I would bet my money on Margarito. Victor has better punching techniques, but he would simply fold under pressure by Margarito's non-stop aggression.

Today's version of Margarito would not beat Victor Ortiz. Ortiz has much faster hands and the power to hurt Margarito. The first Cotto fight was the last time Margarito looked good in a fight. And even though he won impressively he took a lot of big shots/punishment in that fight. And that was three years ago. I think it's strange that some people still believe Margarito is the same fighter he was when he has not shown it in the three fights after.

This is not a popular position, but I think Margarito showed a lot of spirit and gave Pacquiao a hell of a fight. He looked strong and as athletic as I've seen him. With that said, the fight should have been stopped. However he was a live dog for most of the bout.

So IYO, Ortiz would simply knock Margarito out? What round roughly?

This fight would be a battle of will and relentlessness and that's what Margarito is good at. He takes it.

It's funny how some of those same mofos voting for Margarito KO are the same ones saying he has no power.

They must think very little of Ortiz' durability..

Ortiz is actually pretty durable but once he taste that power over and over he loses some focus. At least that's what I get from seeing a couple of his fights.

On NSB I'll take that as a compliment. It doesn't take a genius to see that Margarito has not looked like the same fighter in the three fights after Cotto. Throw in the year off and the beating he took from Mosley and it's not uncommon for that to happen to any fighter. He is past his prime. And other than a round or two of some success, Margarito took a serious beating from Pacquiao in a one sided fight. The only impressive thing about him in that fight was his ability to take punches.

As for the prediction I never said anything about Ortiz simply knocking him out so I don't know where you got that from. I believe Ortiz would win a one sided decision over the much slower past prime Margarito. Better boxing skills and faster hands for ortiz.
