Barrera can box and brawl, he'd take it. Corrales is like Paul Williams type of fighter, all action brawler. Where's this great boxing skill we are talking about when it comes to Corrales? When has he ever really used his reach to his advantage?

Barrera beats him to the punch all night. Corrales maybe sneaks in a flash KD but loses a competitive decision.

Remember to take into consideration that Barrera is out of his prime at 130. Unlike Corrales who is, and is physically a beast at the weight.

Good point. I still think he is just too smart. UD Barrera.

That could definitely happpen, of course. This is Barrera we are talking about.

But, I just don't think Barrera will box with Corales for 12 Rounds. Barrera has great skills and boxing ability but he is a warrior an he will trade time to time.

And at 130, with all the wars he had been in before he ever got to 130, I think when Corales hits him consistently clean which I think is inevitable. He will go down and be stopped.

Similar (ish) to the first Junior Jones fight.

Corrales walked through EVERYBODY at 130 until the Mayweather fight. And we all know that in that fight he was finsihed BEFORE the fight, broke, overweight living in a sweat box, starved, going to Jail, home and family broken up etc.

So, we have to assume Corrales as pre that fight when he could still make the weight. My opinon is that he would punch holes through Barrera. Barrera would stand up to him and it would be a great fight but he'd take far too much punishment. Corrales much too heavy a puncher, and, although we all seem to forget it, a good boxer with skills, when he needed them.

                    Barrera takes this.

Chico was great but Marco was greater. Corrales would have to try and get a Ko because he couldnt outbox Marco but if he went looking for Mab,he would play into the Mexicans hands.
