Burns-Broner Done Deal For Cincinnati, Nov 26 on HBO

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer said that the fight between WBO junior lightweight titleholder Ricky Burns of Scotland and unbeaten mandatory challenger Adrien Broner is headed for Broner's home town of Cincinnati U.S. Bank Arena to be televised on HBO on Nov. 26.

The 22-year-old Broner (21-0, 17 knockouts) is coming off consecutive HBO appearances in which he outpointed former titleholder Daniel Ponce de Leon in March and scored a first-round knockout of Jason Litzau in June.

Burns (39-2, 9 KOs) has won 17 consecutive fights since losing a decision to Carl Johanneson in 2007.

The 28-year-old from Coatbridge has made three title defenses since rising from a first-round knockdown to beat Roman Martinez and claim the vacant belt in September.

That stretch includes consecutive knockouts over Joseph Laryea and Nicky Cook, respectively, in the seventh and first rounds.

Why is this in Cinci? This is like the Berto Zaveck fight being in some trailer park in Mississippi.

        Promoters are pissing people off.

Fight in front of 300 paid customers in Cincinnati or in-front of 10k in the UK

Where ever the fight is held, Broner whoops him.

This ^^^^^^ I guess I'm not the only one not impressed by Burns. Broner is a good fighter but Burns just isn't that good in my opinion, he came close to being KO'd by Rocky Martinez in my opinion and was seriously hurt. I was actually kind of shocked he survived.

I can only imagine Broner being faster and possibly matching Rocky's power(mainly because of Broners speed and when you throw fast those are the type of punches that hurt more than some power-shots.)
