Well I guess it's 1.5 since we can't fully count Ward. And if Bhop is truly coming after Bute after Dawson, then you better hope he hires a trainer that teaches him how to keep that right up, because as sick as he is (and I'll give it to Bute he's a beast), his reflexes/speed aren't nearly good enough to fight out of the highlow. Ward and Hopkins both have the style and ability to adapt to take full advantage of that.
Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury: who would win?

There are a couple of guys that are currently ranked as top 10 Heavyweights that have been pros for nearly a decade and have long extensive amatuer careers and are still fighting the same type of guys that Wilder has been fighting.Fury by KO. I've watched Fury evolve from a 'young inexperienced punch yourself in the face prospect' to a solid contender. He's developed good boxing skills including defense, spacing, footwork and he looked very sharp in his last outing against Derick Chisora. Fury started off fighting stiffs but has stepped up the level of opposition early on in his still short boxing career....
Wilder on the other hand has continued to fight tomato can after tomato can. I like the guy and think he's got a good personality but he hasn't progressed as much as some of his peers..
It's commendable the way Fury's handlers haven't pampered him by setting him up with endless supply of cans for years on end. But Fury is the exception to the rule. Most "prospects' these days are overly carefully managed, and are rarely thrown into the fire 2-4 years into their career like back in the old days.
I mean look at the current Heavyweight champ and who he was fighting in his 18th fight.
Everett Martin: 20-21-1
Result: 8th round UD
And this is after 150+ amateur fights and a Olympic gold medal.
Wilder is already ahead of Wlad in development by the time Wlad had his 18th fight, at least he's KO'ing all of the cans he's facing.
And yes, Wilder KO's Fury in 3. (100% KO ratio > 66% KO ratio) And then goes on to retire both Klits and rule the division for the next decade.

I like Wilder and think he has potential but no one can gauge that because of the crappy opponents he's been facing. I think Wilder's management should throw him in with someone like Vinny Maddalone, Jay Gavern, Kevin McBride, Derick Rossy. I think he beats all of these guys but even if he loses, it's not a big deal IMO. He's still young and learning..There are a couple of guys that are currently ranked as top 10 Heavyweights that have been pros for nearly a decade and have long extensive amatuer careers and are still fighting the same type of guys that Wilder has been fighting.

Wlad had already been the WBO champ for a year and a half when he was Wilder's age.I mean look at the current Heavyweight champ and who he was fighting in his 18th fight.

And in his early fights, he did fight some bums like Wilder is doing, but at least they were heavyweight bums, not mostly super-middleweights, light heavyweights and cruiserweights like the 6'7" Wilder is fighting.
And along with the bums, Wlad fought a lot of tough journeymen on his way up like Everett "Bigfoot" Martin, who was better than anyone Wilder has fought yet.
Every one of Wilder's opponents had been KOed before by somebody else. But many of Wlad's early opponents had never been stopped before by anyone else: Bostice, Shultz, Barrett, Shaheed, etc.Comment

fury is to fat, slow, and he doesn't have any defense. Deontay would makehim quit in about 6 rounds. Deontay is very illusive, and his jab is the best of the young heavies. Tyson fury is out of shape and slow and very predictable. Deontay by ko in the middle rounds.Comment

A fighters body shows his dedication and seriousness about his craft. Fury is a sloppy slow joke, soon he will be forgotten, Wilder is the future of the Heavyweights, just wait and see. Don't forget I said first.

Americans will nuthug any african american boxer. Times have changed, its over for AA's at the higher weight classes. You had your time, now the talent pool has increased globally and you can't hang obviously.
MW on up will all be dominated by white europeans in the future, and that's the way it's gonna be. Boxing isn;t about race so you shouldn't care ( but you will, because blacks are racist as hell )Comment
