Ward "We should have Olympic style drug testing"
WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (24-0, 13KOs) is no stranger to Olympic style drug testing. He won Gold at the 2004 Summer Olympics in the light heavyweight division. Last Saturday in Carson, California, he retained his world title with a lopsided twelve round decision over former champion Arthur Abraham. Ward's next outing is the final bout of the Super Six Boxing Classic. He awaits the winner of the June 4th bout between Carl Froch and Glen Johnson.Comment

I doubt PED's in Boxing make that huge of a difference, you might gain a few rounds of stamina but it cant improve your heart/chin/technique.
This is an idiotic statement. Aren't MOST fights between elite opponents determined by a few rounds?
Jeez.Comment

Who's watching him? The fed's?Conte is being watched probably 24/7 now...I seriously doubt Conte would risk going to jail for a LONG TIME for a few damn Boxers
...but you never know
RIGHT NOW...I don't believe he is involved with anything ILLEGAL, if he is then he is PRETTY ***IN ******!
Beyond the PED's he was involved with and created, he still has a lot of knowledge about Sports Nutrition, which is why people are still working with himComment

For the record, I don't think either fighter is on anything. But I applaud them for taking the right steps.Comment

Ward welcomes Olympic Style testing because.... HE HAS GONE THROUGH IT. So has Floyd, although it was the earlier version.Ward "We should have Olympic style drug testing"

Only cheaters oppose or restrict improved drug testing.
If you were approaching a sobriety checkpoint, but you had not been drinking, would you try to veer off the road or pull some evasive maneuvers?Comment

The air should have been cleared while negotiating the contracts. Not after the contracts are signed and Froch knows this. He's already looking for excuses and there are no two ways about it. And of course his delusional fans will eat it up and use it for their own excuses about the fight.
I also see a lot of hypocrites opposing this type of testing when it's convenient for them to do so.Last edited by joseph5620; 08-28-2011, 12:17 PM.Comment

I applaud them too, I dont think they are dirty either but what if they are? a test puts everyone's mind at ease, The commission dont give a toss if a fighter gets tested since a dirty test would lose them money, So why should they care, We get all this moronic poster who have never been anywhere in the ring talking about "Let the commission" do their jobs blah blah blah, The only reason they're saying that now is because they dont want to look like a moron for having a go at Mayweather.Comment
