keep in mind, people: in his feud with gatti, ward was constantly hit low and NEVER turned to the ref to complain.

in his fight with tito, mayorga complained TWICE to the ref for low blows.

ward's specialty, outside of his chin, heart, and stamina, is his power and bodypunching. and if mayorga has a weakness, its obviously body shots.

mayorga MOVED UP to face tito and took a barrage of punches.
tito punches a hell of a lot harder, and you can call a man not tough because he doesnt want to get hit in the balls

both guys are tough and can take serious amounts of punishment but if i had to pick one i would with ward this is just based on their careers in the ring and ward has been in alot more wars than mayorga ...

how bout rd 5 mayorga/tito..complete punishment from tito,then got him in the corner and just pummeled mayo,until mayo comes back with his own barage of punches,were lesser foes wouldve just taken a knee or crumble on the floor..and on rd 6 believe after a low blow from tito,mayo trades punches with tito way past the final bell,his corner has to come get him,and they have to hold him back as he is signaling and defying tito to keep fihting....as good and tough as it gets..gve me goose bumps,gotta turn on the vcr and watch it again

in round six, mayo takes a low blow on the hip, THE HIP, and he walks away and complains to the ref while taking a break. in round (im not sure about the exact round) 8, another low blow on the hip and mayo cries to the ref again but the ref doesnt do anything and mayo continues to take punishment.

if you saw any of the gatti/ward fights, youd see how many low blows ward took, and you would NOT see him complain to the ref at all.

you have the right to, but ur not obligated to. mayorga chose to complain cuz he couldnt stand it. ward took it cuz he knew it was already done and gatti would need to do more than that to hurt ward.

choosing to whine rather than sucking it up shows ur less tough.
