    What do you mean? I thought Wilder had a good amateur career? I remember Atlas bashing Wilder for his weak opposition, saying he had all these amateur fights but is fighting stiffs. And after Atlas bashed Wilder, that was the last time Espn bought any of Wilders fights.

      If Atlas said that then he's wrong. Or misguided because of Wilder winning a medal in the Olympics. But, Wilder picked up boxing pretty late. He does not have an extensive amateur career.

        Exactly. He was the States 'last' hope in bringing home a medal and he did just that. But he was never that great to begin with.
