Pretty obviously Hellboy at this point. Wilder is a non-entity.
Yeah, I made this topic for laugh and giggles since Wilder is busy fighting weak opposition and has like 17 fights so far. He has more fights than Helenius but fought really weak opponents. Hell, Peter and Liakhovich probably could beat Wilder.
Did you just watch Helenius? Have you looked at both fighters' records? Have you seen Wilder?
If you answered "no" to either of these questions, that would be the only reason why you posted this poll, because it is obvious that Helenius destroys Wilder, and easily.
I'm sick of Wilder fighting such weak opposition, as a boxing fan I'd think alot of you are too.
Well that's how Gbp brings up their fighters.
Now should he fight stronger comp? Sure he should. Like I said I think a fight with Carlos Negron is the perfect step up fight for both of them.
However, you can't really rush the guy. Even though he won a medal(I think bronze) in the Olympics. He's still very raw talent. He picked up boxing late. He hasn't been fighting that along. And, in the Olympics and so far as a pro has gone by athleticism more than anything.
No excuse, cuz' yes it's time to step up. Just I wouldn't rush him. He's so raw still and he needs time to develop as a pro.
This is like comparing apples to oranges. Helenius and Wilder are in much different stages in their respective careers. Helenius has had an extensive amateur career and transitioned seamlessly into the pro ranks. From there he's gotten better and better in each successive fight and is maybe a year or two from his prime. Wilder on the other hand, didn't have an extensive amateur career and is still learning the fundamentals of boxing. His management is moving him along slowly so he can learn his trade without taking a lot of punishment along the way...
