Comments Thread For: Manny Pacquiao: I Won't Stay in Boxing For Long

WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao will not stick around in boxing for too much longer. Pacquiao is going to have a few more fights before his retires to focus on his career as a congressman from Sarangani province in the Philippines. Pacquiao returns on November 12 in a trilogy fight against Juan Manuel Marquez at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pacquiao is hoping to get Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2012, which may become the Filipino's final bout in the sport of boxing.

If recent reports are true you will be boxing for a long time to come.

Mayweather next year then Martinez at 154 as the final challenge.

That's all I care to see. Maybe Bradley in between.

1 more year sounds just about right, he's already solidified his place as the greatest fighter of all time. There's not much else he can do when he's done everything and more. He doesn't have anything left to prove.

You would think Pacquiao would wait until he hit his prime before thinking about retirement wouldn't you?

Martinez would be a big fight but I don't think PAC would go north of 147 again. I think if Martinez could make 150 the fight might have happen already.

I hope Manny Pacquiao will be smart enough financially and get rid of Konz and Bob Arum.

But good to know that he will retire probably within in 2 years cause there is life after boxing.
