Kessler lost because Ward was better, chief reason being Kessler was clueless what to do inside. How many baby step back-uppercut attempts did he make as Ward came in head down? The answer is in the result. Kessler was doing some upping and body punching his last time out and has a can of a titlist to practice on in the fall. If Steiglitz wins more than two rounds, Mikkel might want to call it a day. If he rolls him (and he should) and gets in some more of that much needed work, all the better.
So far, it's taken guys the level of Ward and Calzaghe to get by the Dane. That's pretty damn good.
