There'd be a lot more competitive fights for sure, but the main problems with this era, undertrained, overweight fighters fighting once or twice a year or padding their records against stiffs, wouldn't go away just because the Klitschkos did. Povetkin might not have massively pussed out and spent the next two years of his ring career fighting nobodies, and Haye might well have stunk the joint out a few years more, but there aren't too many other examples I can think of of fighters doing better for themselves. It's a convenient excuse to claim that the Klitschkos' dominance is the root of the division's detractors, but there are far deeper problems than that.
Well I understand what you say, but I think it would be axiomatic that if the Klitschkos weren't around, had never been, that there would have been quite a few pretty good heavyweight scraps. The contenders are rather pretty much on a level with each other, some slightly better and vice-versa, and of standard championship calibre.

If you REALLY want to see PADDED records look at Rocky Marciano. One of his better opponents who was 15-1-0...9 of his opponents between them had ZERO wins and only 2 fights. Another one of his better fights against Carmine Vingo, where the opponent was a 19 year old kid with a 16-1 record. 9 of his opponents had negative records, the kid himself was the same weight as Rocky but 6 inches taller, a spindly weak, kid fighting a solid 27 year old man. He nearly killed Vingo who never fought again. IT WAS VINGO'S FIRST 1st 10 Rd FIGHT. I think Vingo was fancied to win, (except maybe by the Mafia bookies.)

Marciano's record could take a week to go over properly with the right pair of glasses, and you'd need a good supply of air freshener.

      Poet
I don't know about Mark Mckwire or any others we are not discussing. I DO know what the reports...ALL the reports said about Klitschko being banned from the Olympics in ancient times for using a cortico-steroid ointment on his leg. I've used such myself.

Klitschko has never been anything but up front and forward about everything to do with his public life in boxing. You are just making up insinuations to create a little fuss to enjoy.

Well..be my guest....ENJOY. I wish you'd change your picture, the man was the laughing stock of Europe, who, nevertheless, plunged them into a devastating war. There were accounts that on the verge, he tried to reverse course but without success. HE failed in everything.

You have no idea what you are talking about involving Joe Frazier. I wonder if you even know who he actually is.

Here we go, here come the reinforcements from the History section.

Your post hasn't improved since the last one.

I gave my take on Frazier V. Klitschko and that's that. You can choose to concentrate on me exposing the Fat troll who posts in pink fonts, (who started the personal attacks in the 1st place), if it makes you feel better.

          I am done with you.

And please don't think I'm trying to make fun of you because you never went to school or read a book. If I've offended, I apologise.

Other than that, I only have to say that as much as you know about boxing and POLITENESS in discussion, I could put in my eye and not feel it.
It's funny that you talk this **** while managing to spell my name wrong.

Whereas the TIME LINE does not LIE (like some I know) Klitschko was in his 24th month of pro boxing age 21-22...an overgrown and underweight kid, and this was his 25th fight........
Too much.... too soon.....bound to meet a road block on the way. And he did in Purrity.

YOUNG KLITSCHKO was even outweighed by 25 lbs.
I was talking about you claiming that Vitali knocking out Purity was some great accomplishment, not Wlad getting KTFO by him. Take your meds on time.

How so? You claimed to have shown me Peter being a beast on the inside, its abundantly clear you don't now what fighting on the inside is, since Peter wasn't an inside fighter, just a fat guy that swung wildly from mid-range.

You are shock jocking the thing, and we are arguing word semantics. You took my wording and ran with it, following me around.

We can rephrase it and call it something else if it isn't "beast on the inside", but I already gave my point. Hence why I didn't bother dignifying your trolling. He is Margarito-esque, he comes forward and has a iron chin (in his prime at least) to prevent him from getting Ko'd. That to me is beast, take hit how you want it.

Mid-range? Yeah mid-range, he comes forward while his opponents usually move away, which is the right thing to do, hence it becomes a mid-range fight. Nobody wants to stand in front of him and trade on the inside because he "swings wildly and is sloppy". How many fighters have applied the strategy that it's better to stay on the inside and **** with Sam Peter, because that's his weakness?

You said Joe Frazier's only great win was Ali 1. That's so completely wrong that you really have no credibility discussing Joe Frazier. Have you ever heard of Jimmy Ellis or Oscar Bonavena or Jerry Quarry or Buster Mathis? That's just to start.

You try to come across as smarter than everyone else when you are saying moronic things. Saying stuff like "if it makes you feel better" and "I gave my take" and "I am done with you" doesn't mean you know what you are talking about. You still haven't backup up the dumb things you've said, if you know what you are talking about back it up.

That's it? That's your best answer. Not accepting it, good.

Now you can feel free to go back to doing what you do best, trolling and following me around with the same redundant comment of, "show me how he is a beast on the inside".

Notice how he's back tracking on his words now after failing to explain how "frazier was a beast on the inside". I get the feeling he doesn't even know what inside fighting is.
