I wouldn't be surprissed if this happens, it would be an easy defense for whoever wins this Saturday. I still can't believe there are people who think Holyfield would have a chance I guess they missed the Ibragimov fight, that he was getting beat by Sherman Williams, and how **** he looked against Botha.

Why is there hardly any talk of James Toney fighting Holyfield?
Constantly we have to put up with these two totally shot dinosaurs calling out the elite of the division without doing jack ****, both have done nothing for the last 5 years in fact. Why is there no talk of them facing each other? Surely that fight is worthy of a PPV in American with two legends squaring off against each other.

I really don't see any other worth while fights out there for either man. Who knows, maybe the winner of that could get another semi decent fight from this. Would actually make a fight with the winner of Chagaev/Povetkin plausible and not a total joke.

Holyfield against the winner sounds good but I worry his health. Does it have to get to the point he gets really hurt before he retires?

Matched correctly Holyfield is still relevant and in no more danger than anyone else in the division. Take away the Klitschkos who obviously do serious damage to him at this stage and what you have a is a desserted division there for the taking.
Holyfield is equally as good/bad as the rest of the fringe contenders at the moment keeping in mind Audley got a title shot.

I dont tip him to beat Chagaev or Povetkin but if Adamek sprung a surprise next month its not inconceivable to imagine Holyfield competative in that fight. I think he beat Valuev and KO'd Botha and Neilson since.

I think we all agree his best days were decades ago but Hopkisn showed age is no barrier and class is permemant so I think Holyfield will be around til someone is good enough in the ring to convince him otherwise.

Sasha speedbags Holyfield over 12 but I'd give him a shot vs chagaev these days. The thing is it wont be chagaev winning because he is about to have his last fight. My prediction is chagaev retires after he loses to Sasha.I have almost no doubt Holyfield will have another opportunity vs povetkin in Russia. Holyfield actually can still draw somewhat in Europe compared to the states where he doesn't draw anymore.

Holyfield was being used as target practice for Larry Donald almost seven years ago,for christ sake - he is done and has been for well over a decade.

He's cool with taking damage as long as it doesnt decrease his ability to have more kids, You could hurt me! You could maim me! You can blind or deaf me! BUT LET ME SKEET SKEET SKEET.

It will be very low of Sauerland and Teddy to put Povetkin in with old Holyfield. Evander still wasn't too bad when he fought Ibragimov four years ago, but he's badly faded now.

I imagine this was Teddy's idea. Maybe he'll sabatoge Povetkin so Evander wins. Teddy has always hated Europeans, why would he change now?
