Also, Floyd is 34 years old, turned pro in 1996 and has been inactive for 16 months. Therefore, all the intangibles are in Victor's favor. However, with that being said and if father time and ring rust has yet to catch up to Floyd Mayweather, Jr. Then these are the seven tangible reasons why this will be a difficult task for Victor Ortiz and why he won't win this fight:

    1. He doesn't throw enough punches. One of the more essential keys in defeating Floyd is beating him to the punch; De La Hoya can attest to this.

    2. He has no jab; Making him more susceptible to floyd's counters.

    3. He doesn't have a body attack; Making it easier on Floyd legs and lower body movement, to just stand in the center of the pocket, while mostly implementing the upper body shoulder roll movement, to avoid his power punches.

    4. No defense; He is easy to hit.

    5. He is not a swarming/pressure fighter who likes to fight on the inside or at a very active pace, in order to smother, a boxer like Mayweather who relies on footwork and spacing. He tends to fight in bursts.

    6. He is inexperienced. He has never fought anyone near of an elite championship caliber opponent as Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

    7. He lacks mental toughness.

hmmm..i think alot of people have Mayweather winning this fight..what made you think that your opinion was needed..especially in dumb **** points. Your points are so black and white aswell, "he has no defense" "he has no jab". At least word your opinions in a manor that doesnt make you out to be a fanboy. Ortiz has a jab and he has defense, he doesnt have the best..but alot of people said Sergio "didnt have a jab" and look what he did to Dzinziruk.

ps, in regards to "mental toughness"..did you watch the Berto match?

        1) Mayweather has more skill
        2) Mayweather has more heart while Ortiz is a quitter
        3) Mayweather is too smart for Ortiz
        4) Mayweather has too much speed for Ortiz
        5) Mayweather has great defence while Ortiz fights with his face.
        6) Mayweather has big fight experience while Ortiz is real green
        7) Mayweather has also got power

Precisely my point! While it's true that a lot of people have Mayweather winning this fight, however there are many who don't. There are many boxing fans predicting an Ortiz upset. That's why I felt compelled in posting this thread. Also, never once have I accused anyone of playing fanboy or hater because they have Victor picked as you've just done me because I believe they are all giving an honest assessment of their reasons on why they think Ortiz will win. Lastly, never have I said that Victor can't win this fight because there is the outside possibility that he can. This is boxing dude. All it takes is one good punch to end any fight. While there's an outside possibility of Floyd losing this fight I honestly just don't see it happening.
