rigo seems to me like he doesn't wanna get hit. cordoba caught him with a good one and he almost switch to a panic mode and started dancing around. that style won't work with donaire who is a more powerful puncher than cordoba. nonito has also the skills and speed to match rigo's but his counterpunching is much better.

Donaire would take Rigondeaux's head clean of his shoulders mid rounds

Nonito by TKO. Nonito is on top of his game right now and although Rigo is as talented as it gets he hasn't really WOW'd me as a pro.

The Cordoba fight was a bit confusing for me...or maybe not so much. Everything was going just fine for Rigo when he was hit and touched the canvass with his glove. Then Guillermo got on his bike and made for one of the most boring fights I've seen in a while. It was as if he reverted right then and there to his amateur days.

Maybe it was an off night, as Strugg says. "El Chacal" came back in his next fight and tore Wille Casey a new one. I think Rigo got the memo. Despite approximately 400 amateur bouts, Guillermo only has eight pro fights. He's still growing into his new role. It's pretty impressive that Rigondeaux can already be mentioned in the same breath with Nonito Donaire.

True statements. And your prediction wouldn't surprise me at all.

good post. it's understable if more people would predict a nonito win based on what we've already seen from both guys. donaire has more fights and experience on his side plus he's fought the tougher opponents with stunning wins that's why he's considered one of p4p best. but rigo is by no means an easy fight, the guy has very good skills, speed an power to match up well with donaire. but like you said he only has 8 pro fights so give him some more fights with good opponents and he will give donaire a tougher fight than expected.

You will be surprised... call me crazy but Rigondeux would win this fight, Donaire is an excellent boxer, they are both kind of like made for each other, it would be a fan's dream fight, and the best thing is... it will happen! problably early 2012.
