we'll never know, Tyson was devastating at his peak and it didnt look like there was anyone capable around the Berbick & Spinks fights of beating him.

But I still think Holyfield wouldve had his number no matter what, as would Lennox Lewis.

    But thats just my opinion

      Not true.

Tyson was no different than any other teenager that made ****** mistakes. Judge Mathis is an ex gang member.

Cus would've kept him on a straight and narrow path. In fact there's an interview where Cus is talking about this. He new all the snakes would come after Tyson.

Cus was one hell of a trainer though and at the same time Tyson would've never got to where he did where it not for the man.
But here's the thing. When you're in a leadership position like Cus was with Tyson, you never use coercion as the first method. I don't think Cus "let" Tyson get away with anything. He probably dicsiplined him behind close door, not out in the open to embarrass him.

Cus also knew Tyson was young and immature, but will grow out of it eventually. Cus was just taking his time with Tyson.

IMO, Tyson is the man he is today because of Cus.

Tyson was crafted bt de mato into the perfect physical specimen, he had it all, u name it, he's got it. Tyson however fell mentally short and i think Cus was wanting to develop that side of him before he died. Watching young Tyson it's hard to believe how he never became the greatest.

I honestly believe if Mike got back with Kevin he could give the Klits a run for their money. Right now

People think Tyson's loss to Douglass, excessive partying, and temper is what ruined Tyson. Absolutely not true!

3 things, maybe more, ruined Tyson:

              1. The death of Cus D'motto is what ruined Tyson. Even though Cus's death came before Tyson's first championship, we never seen what Tyson was fully capable of. Had Cus been around, Tyson would've KO'd Douglass in the first 30 seconds let alone the first round.

              2. Robin Givens. If we're talking about ruining a fighter, she's the trophy case for it. Many people don't know about how Tyson tried to commit suicide by crashing his car in a tree. All this before the Douglass fight. Let's not forget about how she completely embarrassed him on national T.V. Lastly, let's not forget how she took millions of dollars from him with Don King.

              3. Prison. Prison finished off what was left in Mike. He came out more of a threat to society than when he when in.

Fact is, Cus was the yin to Tyson's yang. Tyson's problems as a teen were no different than the millions of inner city kids growing up in Brooknam. Yes, Brooknam, not Brooklyn. No need to explain why it's called that.

              Anyone?
I agree with that, and his age had a lot to do with it as well. I think its true that the death of Jim Jacobs left Tyson with no real direction. There's nothing I can't stand more than those that say Buster stood up to the bully and that's why Tyson lost. These guys don't have a clue what was going on in his life, or a clue about life in general.

I like Lewis and all, but his chin was just too suspect.

If Cus is with Tyson when the Lewis fight happen, Lewis gets KO'd Oliver McCall and Rahman style.

Yep, that's another one. Jim Jacobs was like the last man standing after Cus passed.

Give me a few days and I'll compile a list of 100 fighters who had it far worst than Tyson, and overcame adversity in a way that Mike never could.
