Regardless, I think it's safe to say that just because Mayweather doesn't physically ruin fighters, they're not the same. Yes, boxing is just as much [if not more] mental as it is physical. When fighters enter the ring with Mayweather, be it they get stopped early or get hit repeatedly over 12 rounds, in their next fights they don't nearly look as good as they did going into the Mayweather bout.

A lot of them are hesitant and afraid to pull the trigger, they don't want to engage as much because when they fought Mayweather, every strength that they were successful in imposing their will before was taken away. Fact of the matter is that just because Mayweather doesn't have the devastating KO power he once had at the lighter weights, whomever he gets in the ring with respect his power because they tend to stray from engaging as the fight goes on. Clearly, he administers shellackings.

Because they're all on their way out of boxing... wonder how many fights JMM will have after he gets starched in another overmatched ppv that Arum set up to steal your hard earned money from.

U guys have to be joking----u numb nuts think Mayweather's opponents were actual legit fighers to beign with...Ricky Hatton showed his true colors with Collazo. Oscar Delahoya---the dude was about 10 years past his prime when he fought Mayweather. Zab Judah had no notable wins when he fought Mayweagther. Corley who Zab Judah already beat prior to fighting Mayweather...Baldmoir---the face first brawler--- there's Gatti and his wars with Ward----i mean, come on i can go on and on...please son.

            Personally, I agree with him.

            Thoughts?
Yeah! by tickling them and landing 10 punches per round.

Oh, please. Before you *******s were born Ricky was considered top comp. So much so, that a large majority bet on Ricky to be the one to knock Floyd out.

Ricky was undefeated and coming off good performances until he decide to open his mouth and challenge Floyd.

After you lot were born was when Pacman got the scraps of Ricky who put him in la la land for good. Ricky was softened for the kill when Pac got him.

              Get your facts straight.

To answer the original poster. No, fighters are not the same after fighting Mayweather because Floyd magnifies his opponents weaknesses. That is a huge advantage for future opposition to have visual proof on how to control their opponent. In regards to how much damage Floyd inflicts physically, I think it depends on the opponent. Baldomor is the only one I remember that kept walking forward throughout the fight without being stunned. Floyd's other opponents usually get stopped or become defensive and try to survive. They usually do survive because Floyd is not aggressive. But with saying that, I would assume that Floyd is causing enough damage to make a fighter go into survival mode or to have the opposition trainer speak to his fighter about stopping the fight.

Most of them looked exactly the same, except for the guys like Oscar, Mosley, Gatti, the guys near the end of their careers anyway. Who hasn't looked the same after Mayweather beat them?

People keep saying Hatton, but Hatton looked fine down at 140. He looked no different than before he fought Mayweather. Corrales and Castillo were the same. Baldomir and Judah were the same. Marquez is fine.

I will say this though: If Ortiz truly believes he is going to beat Mayweather, and then goes through the domination I expect Floyd to give him, I could see him being absolutely devastated by that loss.
