The only fighter I think wasn't the same as a result of fighting Mayweather was Hatton.

By this I don't mean physically, I don't think Mayweather changed his resistance or anything.

But, I do think mentally he wasn't the same. Hatton's whole demeanour was being undefeated, being 'invincible', his whole confidence and game was based off that. I knew the second he lost he wouldn't be the same fighter mentally.

I know he went life and death with Collazo and argubally lost but since 'offically' he won and it wasn't a robbery per se his confidence still remained.

Not that he was done or anything, he certainly wasn't. He was still very very game and very close to his best. I just feel he wasn't his very best like he was post losing.

Plus i never seen HattoN rocked by such a light puncher like Paulie and Lazcano.
ummm.....pacquiao took out a lot of opponents early.

even the ones he didn't take out early , he was able to hurt early.

pac has punching power. to take out hatton early and so easily was surprising at the time but not if you consider how hatton kept coming at him wide open. also if you consider the bigger more durable guys pac was able to hurt afterwards.

Here's the quote from Hatton that I was talking about................................

""I'd rather have been knocked out in two rounds than have somebody that has out-classed me for the full duration. Maybe it could have been different, but that's boxing."

            Never the same.

When they fight Floyd, they get the yips. Everyone he fights, before he fights them, they are good-to-great, then Floyd completely owns them and they are then D-class fighters.

Not to mention, they are never the same after losing to Floyd.

When was Hatton rocked by Paulie? I saw a one sided beat down in favor of Hatton that night.

I dont think Hatton was mentally the same after Mayweather. Thing is compared to most ppl, Hatton did better then most of Floyd's opponents including Marquez and Shane.

bull**** logic...martinez has not taken out any top opponents early before he ko pwill in 2, does that mean pwill punch resistance has weakened tremendously before that? or it's because martinez planted a perfect left cross on pwill's jaw?

I actually made a vid about this a year ago. I took the quote that Mayweather said for the Gatti presser about how fighters aren't the same mentally after he beats them.

Most of the guys he beat from '30 on up weren't the same. In N'dou's next fight after Mayweather he had to retire due to having collapsed after the bout. Eventually he came back but he just wasn't the same after fighting Mayweather. DLH look awful against Forbes after fighting Mayweather. Hatton looked bad against Lazcano and lackluster against Malignaggi. Mosley looked awful against Mora. At the time, Manfredy was highly regarded when Mayweather beat him and he wasn't the same afterward.

One could argue that Zab Judah found some success and perhaps JMM, I guess. But in all honesty, Mayweather changes fighters.
