Hatton Punch resistance went down after his fight with Floyd,And Gatti was never the same after Floyd destroyed him so i would say he ruined Hatton and Gatti.

Mainly because Hatton got rocked and almost got ko`ed by Juan Lazcano but the Ref saved Hatton. And Juan Lazcano is not even a big puncher.
Also Mallingnagi of all people was able to hurt Hatton and we all know Mallingnagi is one of the lightest punchers in the history of the sport.
Also Roach himself said that Hatton was never the same after the Mayweather fight. He said this leading up to Pacquaio`s fight with Hatton.Comment

Pacquaio is not known as a fighter who takes you out so early. He did`nt take Cotto out Early ,he could hurt Clotty it took him many rounds to take out Diaz. But he was able to take Hatton out so early. That`s another example of haaton punch resistance going down.
Plus i never seen HattoN rocked by such a light puncher like Paulie and Lazcano.Comment

Floyd does psychological damage to a fighters confidence not so much physical damage, but there are some fighters that he does both to. Hatton and Gattti are 2 fighters I can think of that he really hurt in both ways.
With Gatti, it was Gatti and his people who also wanted to face Floyd because they knew how brilliant of a boxer he was and Gatti wanted to see what he could do against him since Gatti was boxing more and was a bit gassed up on his new boxing skills.
The result = Shattered his confidence badly, real bad because he figured out in like 2 rounds that Floyds skill level is fuc&ing ridiculous and took a horrible one sided beating that I think ruined him physically as well since after that he was KO'd by Baldomir and Gomez.
With Hatton, Hatton really thought he could beat him, he respected his ability but he thought he could walk through anything Floyd threw at him and just maul him to death.
The result = He was undefeated so he was still mentally in his prime because nobody had ever forced him to lose, nobody had planted that seed of doubt in his head and he did ok for a round or two until Floyd adjusted and then it was all over for him. He was outclassed and beaten up pretty bad as well.
I believe Hatton has said that he would have preferred to be KO'd quick like in the Pac fight than to be outclassed and beaten down like Floyd did to him. To me that says that he was psychologically damaged by the Floyd beating and wasnt the same afterwards.Comment
