"Mayweather would make more money to fight Martinez than Pacquiao because Lou DiBella and I would never request 50-50. Mayweather is a true champion and he will take the fight. My thoughts are he will take the fight if it's on the table because he will want to prove that's he's number one, and beating Martinez would prove that he's number one.

I believe it's a fight that could happen. It will never happen against Pacquiao, not because of ego, but because Martinez is much bigger and stronger. Martinez vs. Pacquiao would be a mismatch. Thats real talk when he lays it out like that, not letting money get in the way. I'm just not sure Floyd wants the fight at 154 because there isn't much to gain with the average punter, just the hardcore boxing fans who know Martinez is, and the risk vs reward probably isn't worth it when Mayweather can get Khan into the ring for 75:25, same money, less risk.

Martinez, there is going to be some fall out 1 division north of you soon, Froch, Ward or Bute will all be looking to tie up a dance partner if the other guys at 160 don't want any and you can't get a scrap at 154.

Well Pacquiao will bring in more money himself. Martinez isn't really a ticketseller, and he's a big threat to Mayweather, I doubt he'd ever take it.

I have noticed that people want Martinez to move up. But the only reason that he left 154 was to take the Williams fight...on short notice!

Those SMW's are MUCH bigger than Sergio is.

problem is Martinez is hardly known.. and the risk and reward isn't there, needs to be a real lucrative fight for Floyd to come out and fight @ 154. He was small as.

Floyd made $40 million+ fighting Shane, because Floyd got 75%-80% of the money.

For example only:

If Floyd fought Martinez, and revenues were $100 million: Floyd gets 75 million

If Floyd fought Pacquiao and revenues were $150 million, Floyd gets 75 million
