I don't see Floyd losing....at worst I see him getting hurt and dropped and FINALLY being in a FOTY...but NOT beat....with that said....I wouldn't mind seeing the upset....this year has seen MANY upsets and UNBEATEN prospects as well as stars lose their zeros....so in the year of the upsets....anything is possible!!....still don't see it but I just had to get a post in this thread that has potential to be HISTORICAL after the fight

Oh we agree 100%. Lets just remember 1 thing. Floyd, however you judge him, is a true professional. By being in shape he has half the battle won. He can spend more time sparring and gameplanning then losing weight.

I'm with ya Mark. Floyd is having what, 2 fights in the last 4 years & Marquez was a fat lightweight & Mosley was shot to ****. Ortiz right now is miles better than both of them.

2 fights in the last 4 years? What!?

He fought Marquez in September 2009. He is fighting Ortiz in September 2011. That's three fights in two years. Hardly that inactive.

And Mosley last year is at least as good as Ortiz right now.

And that should tell you who is going to win this fight.

There you go again spewing non-sense!

..and the names he mentioned of course were Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquaio. So, we will see what can be made...
Fresh from the biggest win of his career, WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz is looking to secure the most lucrative fights possible. Last Saturday at Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, Ortiz (29-2-2, 22KOs) captured the welterweight crown with a twelve round unanimous decision in a "Fight of The Year" battle with previously unbeaten Andre Berto.

Oh and by the way, Floyd isn't losing to Ortiz.

Don't you go making anymore bad bets with real money, Ortiz does nothing at all particularly well and does not seem to have any extraordinary attributes.

initially i thought Ortiz was going to give Floyd alot of problems....he still might because of the power he has, but the more i think about this fight the more i see Floyd absolutely slicing Ortiz to pieces with the straight right hand. Ofcourse this is based on the premise that the usual FMJ shows up.
