Resto deserved what he got. He got the balls to do it, then he should have the balls to suffer through it. Resto is not in the position to judge anybody. Plain sourgraping.

i dont agree...there is a major difference. there was no proof that he actually used plaster on anybody he ever fought. we all kno resto got caught in the act.

There is no proof that Resto actually used plaster on his wraps, don't allow this to escape you. The guy was making a "tell all" video, and what was needed for a headline was aago
"Blockbuster". If he had used PofP it would have been known long ago, in fact as soon as his gloves came off and a cloud of PofP dust came out with his hands.

It has been shown many times that PofP cannot affect bandages. The first couple of blows will reduce the plaster to tiny pieces and dust. We had a lengthy correspondence about this only about a week ago on these pages, where the experiment was conducted in 1964, with Cleveland Williams being the boxer. They were duplicating the explanations of Jack Doc Kearns who said he plastered Jack Dempsey's bandages so that he could smash up Jess Willard's face.

All the same steps were taken and the plaster allowed to harden. Williams hit the bag a couple of times and the PofP broke up. IT DIDN'T WORK. The conclusion was that Kearns was broke and trying to raise a little interest to make some money. Gempsey had always indignantly denied it.

I am also convinced (so far) that Nat Fleischer, Founder and Publisher of RING Magazine conducted similiar experiments with the same result. I have the description in a RING somewhere. It might even be the very same experiment.

Resto has no reason to be strutting around proud and uplifted. There was no proof that Margarito had PofP on his bandages, other than the cosmetics powder (also used in PofP) sprinkled on the pads. and he was not accused of knowing that he was using illegal pads. the pads were illegal because they were used, instead of new. But he should have known. So he was penalised with a one year "slap on the wrist" suspension.

I wish you guys would remember the things you read so that I would not have to continually be having to rewrite the same stuff all the time.
