I agree with this. Too many fighters recently have attacked floyd instead of focusing on defense. Oscar is the last guy to at least have success at this by perrying floyds punches. He chose his spots to attack and had minor success.

Marquez tried to work off of floyd though and he got picked apart. So its not just that simple.

A guy like vernon forrest or winky wright would have had success fighting floyd this way.

Fight moving back, letting Floyd come forward, and throwing shots IN BETWEEN Floyd's punches.

If you can close the distance on Floyd, giving him no breathing room by cutting the ring and staying shoulder to shoulder with him there is no way he'll be able to mount an offense because he has no uppercuts or inside game.

Floyd's two main punches are dependent on having distance to land them, they are his straight right and his snapping left hook.
