“A great trainer without a great fighter is nothing,” noted Roach to Bleacher Report, who has worked with 27 world champions to date. “Pacquiao made me,” he added, speaking of the current WBO welterweight champion who, under the guidance of Roach, has won major honours including four defences of the IBF version of the super bantamweight championship, The Ring magazine’s featherweight belt, the WBC and The Ring magazine’s super featherweight title, the WBC lightweight strap, The Ring magazine’s super lightweight championship, the WBO welterweight title and the WBC super welterweight belt.

Pacquiao (53-3-2, 38ko), who has an upcoming fight against Juan Manuel Marquez in November, currently divides his time between fighting, being a musician and actor, as well as working as congressman for the Sarangani province in his native Philippines. It is his political obligations, though, together with his generosity that have contributed to a decline in the Filipino’s financial situation.

Roach (pictured above) tellingly explained to Brin-Jonathan Butler: “He’s broke because of that and all the people he flies around to his fights. He goes through money like you wouldn’t believe. He can’t say no. Of course he’ll have to keep fighting. He does now. He won’t be able to stop – it’s his life.”

One of Pacquiao’s stablemates at Roach’s Wildcard Boxing Gym in Hollywood, California, is Amir Khan – the WBA/IBF unified super lightweight world champion and number nine pound-for-pound fighter according to On The Beak‘s rankings.

One thing that caught me by surprise was when Freddie Roach touched on Manny's political run back in the Philippines. "He's broke because of that and all the people he flies around to his fights. He goes through money like you wouldn't believe. He can't say no."

Academy Award winning director Leon Gast, now filming a documentary on Pacquiao after finding such success with Muhammad Ali in When We Were Kings, confirms Manny's inability to say no to anyone.

"His heart is too big," Gast said to me back in Manhattan last week. "He has to hire people just to say "no" for him. You wouldn't believe all the people who come asking. But he can't say no."

Gast showed me a two minute promo for his new film on Pacquiao and the results are incredible.

Freddie had his su****ions about where all of Pacquiao's generosity will get him, "Of course he'll have to keep fighting. He does now. He won't be able to stop. But it's his life."

If you're gonna run for public office ,of course you got to spend a lot of money. Manny ran for congress year 2009, today is 2011 last June Manny just bought a $9 million mansion in the Philippines.

Do you see him sell his cars, ***elry and boat( if he had one).LOL!

      plus:

Americans making a documentary on Manny Pacquiao, *****s would be butthurt again.

Please show me where i said it was a fact.

However, to add to my earlier post as well, considering roachs proximity to pac and for other obvious reasons when he speaks about pac it has a little more weight than whe hes speaking on what floyd thinks or feels. Think about it...

If you wanna have a conversation and be real lets do it. Quit the ****** ****.

So you're agreeing that they're both his opinions now? Fine, then we don't have a problem.

And, finally who cares? He don't care about you, me, or anyone. So why care so much about him?

Same thing with Floyd. Who will be surprised as much money as he blows. That 5-10 years after he's done with boxing that he will not doing good with money? Anyone? Really? And, if he ends up broke who cares? He doesn't care if we broke. He's not sad cuz' of other fans are broke.

So why would anyone be sad cuz' they go broke.

Meh...I feel it's just a none issue, none story for me anyways.
