A truly sad one in boxing history. So much promise, so much skill and yet so much done already by the tender age of 23. It's a remarkable achievement to have the resume of Sanchez at only 23.

He was the perfect Mexican warrior for me. He embodied heart, will, determination and fierce pride and yet he was so skilful, such a thinking man's fighter and fought with such precision. He was the modern day Mexican fighter and I believe was the first in the lineage of such Mexican greats as Ricardo Lopez, Juan Manuel Marquez, Rafael Marquez, Daniel Zaragoza etc etc. Counter puncher/boxer with incredible will and the need to fight. Love it!

His wars with Gomez and especially Nelson are absolute classics. At that time (when this documentary was made) they obviously didn't realise just how great Nelson was and it wouldn't be until well over a decade later that he would be known as the legendary HOFer he now is, but man, that was some fight.

Sanchez ******.... he beat up lame *ss Little Red Lopez twice, Ruben Castillo, Smaller Wilfredo Gomez (who won rds 2 thru 7) and was losing to 12 fight veteran Azuma Nelson before he got lucky. His death made him famous. Gomez and Nelson would of beat him in a rematch. And Pedroza and Arguello would of KTFO of him. The dude wasn't ****.

sanchez is an atg and died at 22. Theres nothing your hating ass can do about it
