I agree, Prescott is just got lucky with Khan that time, other than that he is nothing. He will be knockout if he will fight with Maidana.

Maidana vs Prescott is a good fight.

I dont know why the general opinion is that Maidana is world class but Prescott is a bum who got lucky. Imo they are on the same level. Maidana was lucky to get the decision over a washed up super bantam in his last fight. He couldnt stop Corley and his best shots bounced off chinny Khan. Plus he lost to Kotelnik. Prescott is crude but he did beat Khan inside a minute and was always coming forward vs Mitchel and as weve since seen, Mitchel is a good fighter who carries power.

I wouldnt be surprised if Prescot beat him infact I'd make him favourite.

Last I checked he won those fights, and has stopped almost all of his opponents. His only legitimate loss you can argue he lost by 1 point against the top guy at 140.

Your just another fool who can't see what Maidana brings to the table. He's more then just a brawler.

Prescott will truely beat Khan if he stays consistant toward Khans scarry ass. Put him in a position where he has to fight the mandatory, which I hope it will be Prescott. Prescott can still knock Khans paper champion ass out. This time, when you knock him out, do the "lay the carpet down technique".

This will be a very good style matchup. Two big punchers; One is stronger (Prescott), while the other is tougher (Maidana). This fight is very reminiscent of the Felix Trinidad vs. Fernando Vargas bout. We've never seen Prescott hurt or down in a fight before. While on the other hand, we've seen Maidana floored several times in the past to get up and knock opponents out. The best way of defeating Prescott is with lower body movement and constant circling. However, Maidana style plays right into Prescott's hands because that isn't his style. He likes to come straight forward, walking his opponents down, while eating punches in the process. While I tend to lean towards Prescott in this potential matchup, I guess this fight will come down to whomever wants it more and to whomever gets to whom first.

Prescott: Maidana Lucky, I Would've Knocked His Ass Out!

                Oh jeez

Someone..... tweet Amir Khan, and send him Prescott's twitter name please.

I just thought of a good use for Khan's big mouth.

I seriously hope that Prescott somehow manages to get past McCloskey, so that I can make tonnes of money off the people who think that he can beat Maidana or Khan.

                  " general opinion " ?

That is exactly what happened, no question about it.

Maidana is world-class, mostly because of his intangibles. e.g.....
he can compete with world-class opponents without being outclassed.

But he is obviously not an elite fighter.

Prescott did get lucky. Although personally, I have a little trouble using that word to describe a ko punch. He came prepared, and he executed the right option..... but it was against a flawed opponent who he happened to catch at the right time. Khan would kill Prescott in a rematch and make him look second-rate, that fight would not be competitive at any stage.

Prescott has done nothing since except prove that he is not world-class.

Can't see this being a close fight. Maidana on another level imo.

Prescott will see if you get the win on sep 10 and if you look good doing it who knows maybe you get your shot at Amir in December.
