That may be the case but Mayweather is a FAR BETTER DEFENSIVE boxer so I don't feel the theory holds water here. If they fight I think after 2 rounds we will be able to see who the winner will be.If there is a physical decline in Mayweather Manny wins it but if Mayweather still has his physical abilities he could well win it. Manny is a better physical specimen but Mayweather thinks better on his feet and if he is not shocked or overwhelmed early is likely to find a way to frustrate and pick Manny off.

If this is all true. Can you tell me what category Joshua Clottey belongs?

But when these two styles collide with it the boxer puncher that comes out on top.

In the history of boxing when a boxer puncher faces a pure boxer of similar ability nearly all times the boxer puncher comes out on top.

As they have they have the skill to catch with the pure boxer and do some damage.
but by your logic pac is also the better pure boxer since jabs dont count.

Willie Pep had one of the best defenses of all time but when face with a top class boxer-puncher he lost 3-1.

Many would consider Pep's defense was better than Mayweather's

you preach it like it's a fact bro your article even highlights the reality of your stance.

It depends on the level of skill each man possesses as to how any bout will turn out, but the contrast in styles does offer a distinct advantage or dis-advantage.

added point: Mayweather's offense is nothing to snooze on. Every guy he faces when they where considered swarmers their offensive output droped dramatically.
