Spadafora could be out in 6 months

For those who don't know Paul Spadafora was the former IBF lightweight champion(38-0-1) with 8 title defenses who is serving jail time for shooting his pregnant girlfriend. The man rose from nothing and I mean nothing to become a world champion and a hometown hero in Pittsburgh PA.

Now he has apparently been transfered to a mlitary style boot camp and he could get out in 6 months for good behavior.He said he would resume his boxing career.

I hope Paul gets out and gets back on track, I really like his style as a fighter and he was one of my top five favorite active fighters. I know he has his issues but I hope he can pull his life together and come back and be a force at lightweight or jr. welter.

Not going to happen. I spoke with a friend of mine who works out in Spit's gym, and this is something that "could" happen, but isn't going to. The Allegheny County judge who put him away is refusing to allow him to leave jail, he's setting an example with him.

Nope, in the stomach for jumping a curb in his hummer and blowing a tire in front of BP. Ironically, I had a flat tire in front of the same BP 8 years ago. Must be something with McKees Rocks..

And as far as Spit personally, he's a ****. Plain and simple. He's an arrogant prick, who thinks he's a lot harder than he is. Granted he's a good fighter and is pretty tough, but you know what I mean. He's nothing but a troublemaker and is/was constantly in and out of trouble.

You can take the kid out of the Rocks, but you can't take the Rocks out of the kid...

Okay, first... it is absolutely wretched that he shot his girlfriend.

As for the facts, according to an article in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, she was not pregnant at the time. She had a child with Spadafora more than a year after being shot.

"Russo, 22, intends to ask Manning to treat Spadafora mercifully. She said she and Spadafora have a son, Geno. He was born Dec. 1, more than a year after Spadafora shot her."

Which just saddens me that she would stay with him after what he did to her, no matter the excuses that he was having alcohol and ******* problems.

Paul Spadafora is absolutely positively horrible...8 title defenses and who has he beaten except handpicked tomato cans perfect for an uneducated boxing corwd in Pittsburgh!

**** the Dorin fight (he got clearly beaten), what about Paulie almost getting KO'd against Vicky Sosa? He looked amazing against Chcuky T. and Dennis Halbeak
(Dennis had him hurt late in the fight)...

Ive never seen a fighter that was supposed to be so ****ing slick and such a great boxer be so ****ing UN slick and such a medicore boxer.

the guy can box against club fighters and c level guys but if he steps up his comp which he will in about 10 years he will get embarrassed.

Mike Acri is a ***** who should have done PR work for the ****'s, hey Acri if that sparring session was so great with your boy why didnt you get him in their with Floyd? I could name 20 fighters at jr. welter and lightweight that would beat Paulie, Acri it is your job to make sure he fights everyone but those 20 guys.

Thank you!! I couldnt have said it better myself. Nuff said. Spaddy is a protected (Fight in his hometown) c level fighter. The minute he steps up the comp its light out Spaddy (Or exposing of a true talentless fighter AKA joe Mesi, Valuev, Peter (He can get better) and many others.
