Spadafora could be out in 6 months

For those who don't know Paul Spadafora was the former IBF lightweight champion(38-0-1) with 8 title defenses who is serving jail time for shooting his pregnant girlfriend. The man rose from nothing and I mean nothing to become a world champion and a hometown hero in Pittsburgh PA.

Now he has apparently been transfered to a mlitary style boot camp and he could get out in 6 months for good behavior.He said he would resume his boxing career.

I hope Paul gets out and gets back on track, I really like his style as a fighter and he was one of my top five favorite active fighters. I know he has his issues but I hope he can pull his life together and come back and be a force at lightweight or jr. welter.

Yeah I like Spadafora as well. You wont get too many positive responses from other posters on this forum about him. Mainly because they point to his draw with Leonard Dorin, and turn that into a negative.

I just took care of half the people who would have responded using that same critiscism. LOL.

When Paul fought Dorin he really wasn't all there mentally, of course I'm a bias fan of his...but I would wanna see Paul get his life together and then come back and fight.

As far as the other posters go, I think alot of them aren't too familiar with Spadafora or they just heard of him cause of him shooting his girlfriend.

Hes a good fighter when he comes mentally prepared.

Spaddy sucks of course. Glad he's getting out. His punishment, instead of going to jail, should be to fight Mayweather, Augustus, Malignaggi, Cotto, Judah, Mosley, Vargas, Ouma, Taylor, Hopkins, Chin Checkers, Lacy, Tarver, Mormeck, Toney, Rahman, and Tua.
