BoxingScene.com has been advised that a deal has been reached for a fight between former WBO featherweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez (30-1, 27KOs), and Mike Oliver (25-2, 8KOs), for October 1 at the Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Lopez is trying to get back to his winning ways after losing his WBO title by way of a technical knockout to Orlando Salido in the seventh round of their April fight. A press conference will take place this week in Puerto Rico to officially announce Lopez-Oliver.

31 have tried and 1 has succeeded.

Juanma is a good fighter but his personal problems got the best of him that night.

...still think Gambao eats him alive though.

They should put him in with someone who beat Oliver and is also coming from a loss (yet another KO) Antonio Escalante then. Better name, better fight.
