    >How Much Of A Hype Job Was Devon Alexander<

Everyone was so hyped on him after he KO'd Urango, even I was. People were touting him as future P4P great.

He then gets what many people thought was ''gift'' against a inactive Kotenlink in his hometown.

In his big superfight, he fails to deliver and then claims of burning in his eyes, to the ref when the fight is called and he is beaten on techincal decision by Bradley.

He then fights big punching but limted Lucas Martin Matthysse, Devon gets dropped and again most feel he has been given a gift in his hometown.

Wow, talk about a hype train falling apart.

Yes he was a hypejob, I remember everyone saying this guy was the future when he beat Witter who Bradley beat just before he did. I had never even heard of Alexander before the Witter fight.

No one did except if you're from St. Louis and probably saw some early fights of Alexanders. And that Urango fight had alot of us fooled, we thought Alexander was a boxer puncher from that fight but in truth he doesn't really have much power. He is just a boxer for the most part with kind of mediocre power but than again his level of competition went up a bit more.

Some people say Bailey softened Urango's chin up, I wonder how much truth to that there really is. Or maybe Alexander just got lucky and clipped Urango with the perfect punch.

HBO likes the tale of the black ****** prospect come from the ruins to glory and success. Most of their audience is most likely black considering their black comedian comedy shows and other black appeal marketing.

So yes, they will over hype his type.

              You clearly don't have HBO.

He crushed Juan Urango and everyone was impressed since Ricky Hatton had such a hard time with Urango.

But from there he just never got any better.
