How coincidential that Lennox retires after facing the best fighter he ever fought. Why Didn't he retire after slaying the remnants of Iron Mike? No one would've said a word. Vitali took the fight on just 10 days notice.

Vitali was clearly winning the fight 4-2 on all 3 scorecards at the time of the controversial doctor stoppage. Lewis barely survived the 2nd round, he was badly hurt, holding on for dear life, wobbling everywhere and staggering around the ring like a drunk. Lewis was badly hurt several times in the fight and was getting outboxed, outworked, outmuscled and outlanded by Vitali.

After the fight, Vitali intimidated the shit out of Lewis and made him look like a bitch.

All the fans at Staples Center cheered for Vitali and booed Lewis after the fight.

Lewis promised Vitali a rematch.

Vitali destroyed Kirk Johnson in 2 rounds and called out Lewis again in the post fight interview. The scared Lewis retired shortly after that fight.

Lewis turned down 30 million dollars for a rematch and retired like a coward because he knew he would get destroyed by Vitali.

Oh so you're one of those that subscribe to the theory that if it were a Klitschko W Instead of an L... Lewis would've exhausted the rematch clause. If This makes you sleep better at night Joe C.. be my guest but you & I both KNOW the verdict was basically an afterthought as far as Lennox stepping foot in the ring again.... & basically he could NOT fight anyone else until he completed the Klitschko business.. so that made the decision a know brainer... he decided in the 2nd rd of that fight.. it was his last bout but brilliantly made everyone think he was considering being the first FIGHTER ever to go Vitali Klitschko AFTER he went Vitali KlITSCHKO... we all know how frivolous that sham was.

The entire Staples Center KNEW who really won that fight.. the Hbo announcing crew all knew who dominated the fight.. a doctor hands out prescriptions.... not undeserved W's TO FIGHTERS who don't earn them.. only thing that dr at ringside should've done was give KLiTSCHKO A PRESCRIPTION for the cut.. no one told him to hand him a loss verdict that was more than a W in disguise.... Vitali Klitschko retired 2 fighters in Lewis & Briggs....
