The fact that Hopkins said that Floyd's Ring IQ is "as high as mine" tells me that B-hop thinks Floyd's is higher than his.

Of course he can. Even Roach said that Hopkins didn't really need him and that he could learn more from B-Hop than the other way around. And I disagree based on my previous comment in your thread, I.E. The Conan analogy.

Hopkins wasn't Dad-Made, groomed and bred from a young age like Floyd, or Roy, guys who rather be Rap Artists than Boxers, but know better and are sticking to their day-job.

He doesn't need Naaz more than a Rhetorical wordsmith in his corner at this point. Has he learned from Bowie? Yes. But overall, he is self-made.

Floyd doesn't need Roger or Senior to tell him anything, because they can't speak coherently anyway. It was all physical. He had the gifts athletically and they filled in the gaps, with rigid training regimen that he continues to this day. Starting and finishing with those ped workouts with his Uncle.

When did he exactly say this?

I'm not challenging you, I wanna know.

The only thing close to that said that I remember, is this. Starting at 1:57.

I think Floyd Mayweather is a all-around talented, multi-styled than Bernard Hopkins. But I mastered the basics. It's like a guy with all these degrees, always flashing his Harvard degree but he don't cross the street and look left and right, and gets hit by a tractor trailer. But I will cross the street and look left and right before I cross, because that's the basics. That's what I was taught, I never lost it, I never forgot it.

They're equally intelligent. However, i do think B-Hop should be given more credit for his ring IQ due the fact that he's less athletic and has much younger Boxers. Floyd makes adjustments while in the ring, and B-Hop studies his opponents to cover up every grounds.

Both have an extremely high boxing IQ. But at the end of the day I had to go with Hopkins due to the fact that he wins fights on his ring IQ alone. While Mayweather is a much better athlete and allows him to do what he does.
