A little more dangerous than golf homey. And basketball, baseball and tennis as well, for that matter.

        and?

if you want dangerous (as in deaths or serious injuries) there's a ton of jobs more dangerous than boxing.

we don't go around calling coalminers and fishermen brave.

just because you box doesn't mean you're automatically brave.

        it's a sport.

people like to say , "oh he's a pro boxer , he has to be brave."

          really?

i guarantee 99.9% of the guys in this site , would want to be a pro boxer if given the chance.

          doesn't make us brave.

it's just we're not good enough to be pro boxers and they are.

it's like with football. everyone says , "you have to be tough to want to play football."

no. everyone growing up wanted to be a football player. it's just we didn't have the talent to be one.

            yes...

i think floyd would have been a candidate for the award if not for his inactivity...

as a saying, you could not win the race just sitting on the sidelines...

"Doing" and "wanting to" do are two very different things. 95% of the people on this site, and any other boxing site, would also immediately quit the first time they got hit good. Check out a gym, it happens every day.

You can spin and argue semantics all day. The fact remains, no top-flight professional fighter is a coward.

so if you're a good boxer you can't be a coward?

just because you can box , that shows bravery. ok.
